It's been a while since I've blogged. The truth is, I've been quietly working on building my instagram portfolio and trying to revamp my whole website (as you can see it has changed!)
The year has been an interesting one so far. I no longer have a part-time job (scary but exciting), I've met some really awesome local photographers who have been super supportive and I've been in the thick of planning my own wedding. There are some days where freelancing is really frustrating. I still work here and there for news outlets, but I think working alone really gets to you. I think when I was in school I was surrounded by a lot of photographers. When I was at my internships at newspapers I was also surrounded by some strong photographers. So I'm thankful for the little community that I'm building, even if it's a bit out of my normal environment.
Enough about me. Today I want to share some photos from the most recent engagement and wedding I did of a sweet Bolivian-Indian couple. The two met at the University of Windsor so we went back there to do some engagement photos.
The wedding was a beautiful Hindu wedding to honour the groom's family and his upbringing. I had the wonderful Jamie accompany me for the day. Strangely, though it was in January, all the snow had melted away. It was a full day with lots of laughs and good Indian food!
